Appholes. John Stewart vs. Apple
Posted on 29. Apr, 2010 by Dan Zelikman in Digital
Once again, one of my favorite journalists and television personalities of all time, absolutely kills it in a comedic monologue showcasing the concept of “the suit vs. the cool guy.” Stewart references a recent issue showcasing Apple as “the man,” and it’s pursuit of a Gizmodo blogger who took it upon himself to share a video on an upcoming iPhone model update. Apparently, doors were knocked down and houses were raided. Stewart references to how Apple is looking a little more like the Death Star, and Microsoft like the lax cool philanthropists.
My personal favorite was the line about how Apple needed to get angry at the right people. For instance, AT&T. A company synonymous for ruining the iPhone in one critical way, having it work as a phone.
Enjoy.
Disclosure, I love my Mac. No seriously, this post was written on one.
Also, good on Droid for buying the media space after this segment. Genius (but not the Apple kind).

I don’t know how I missed this one – very funny – Stewart doesn’t nail it all the time but when he does its right out of the park. Thanks for picking up on this one.

No worries, cheers for commenting! At first I was a little torn on this one because I’m such a lover of their products, but this situation was ridiculous! I hope they cool off a bit and remember that they’re supposed to be the “fun” and “hip” guys.
